THE SAGE, GATESHEAD MAY 2011
Wow and Thank you!!! We spent the most amazing evening with you at The Sage on Friday night, will never forget the show. The musicianship was superb, the music, as ever, fabulous and absolutely the soundtrack to our lives and the personal feelings that came through touched us deeply. Greg grew up to your music in the North East, then lived in several countries over the next 30 years and so it was a true home coming in all senses, a long way home you might say! Really connected with the sentiments of Puppet Dance and The Awakening (please record it!). Lord is it Mine, performed beautifully, took Greg back to listening to it on the radio driving home to Toronto with his late father thirty years ago after a weekend in the Ontario Wilderness. Priceless. Thanks again to Roger and the whole crew, If you know who you are, you are your own superstars, ~Greg and Nina Just coming down from the high of Friday night at The Sage, Gateshead. First time seeing a Roger Hodgson show and also first time at The Sage, a fantastic venue for a fantastic artist. The whole show was first class from start to finish and really hope you return next year. Really loved the way you connected with the audience and was really impressed with your band, especially the guy on the sax. Great night and be sure I am spreading the word about you and the band. Once again a big thank you and hope to see you again soon, best wishes. ~ Neil (the good looking lad in row c) |

Saw you and your band at the Royal Albert Hall Wednesday night - excellent. A class venue for a class act. You are truly inspirational! Loved the new song - when will you be releasing it? My favorite has to be 'Hide in your shell' it gave me goose bumps. I didn't want the concert to end! All the very best, Roger ..looking forward to the next album! ~ Julie Sadler
I have seen some rock gods in my years, but last night Roger showed the RAH what a true God he is. It was my first time to see Roger and I must say I was bowled over with his musical talents. His songwriting and voice are amazing! Please do not leave it too long before you return to the UK Roger. You are a musical genius and inspiration. I picked up my 12 string guitar this morning and played "give a little bit" I was late for work! Thanks for a great show! ~Neil Riddoch We came from Cambridge to see you last night at the RAH. One word - brilliant. Please come back soon. Made us proud to be British. ~Cat |
